The Reference Area contains current magazines and newspapers, VHS and DVDs, and the reference collection. 

The reference collection at the John Grant Crabbe Main Library is a concise compilation of subject encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, and other authoritative reference materials. Reference books can help you define the scope of research on a given topic and provide ideas for a thesis statement or research question. Those looking for a more reliable alternative to Wikipedia can find many of our reference materials online.
