Renewing and Overdue Information
Extend the due date for your materials by visiting one of our four library locations or by calling us at (859) 622-1790. You can also renew your materials online:
- In the Library Catalog, click View and Renew My Items.
- Enter your EKU ID number or the barcode from your EKU Libraries card and your last name, then click "Login."
- Check the box next to each item you wish to renew, then click "Request Renewal. If successful, your new due date will display on the right.
EKU Libraries do not charge overdue fines.
Overdue notices are sent to EKU faculty, staff, and students via their EKU email account when the material is one day overdue and again after two weeks. All other library patrons will receive printed overdue notices.
In the event that materials are not returned within 30 days of their due date, they are considered lost and a notice will be mailed to your address. You will be billed for the replacement costs and processing fees and will lose borrowing privileges until the materials are returned or we receive payment. Upon return, all fees will be removed from your account.
If you return an item to the library that is damaged, you may be billed for the repair or replacement cost of the item and a processing fee. We regret that we cannot accept replacement copies purchased by you.
All payments should be made at Student Accounting Services.
