Justice & Safety Learning Commons
The Justice & Safety Learning Commons supports EKU’s College of Justice & Safety, the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training, and the Training Resource Center through research and on-site technology assistance, assignment-specific library instruction, and subject specific online and print resources.
A professional librarian, one library staff member, and an IT staff member work in the space to assist faculty, staff and students with specific research and technology needs.
There are 18 desktop computers for students with plenty of room to spread out and study between classes, meet with groups and research. We have one group study room and two Steelcase group study stations. Students can also check out one of our 10 laptops and get comfortable at a booth, at a table, or on a comfy chair. There are even Pepsi and vending machines for snacks.
Students will also be able to pick up items requested through the Library Express service.
