Celebrate American Archives Month

Celebrate American Archives Month 2012 during the month of October with two very special events:

Friday, October 5, 2012 at 4 p.m., authors Dr. Fred Engle, Jr. and Dr. Robert Grise, along with editor Kathryn Engle, will discuss Madison's Heritage Rediscovered.  Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about historic Madison County!  Presentation will be followed by a reception, book sale and book signing and is co-sponsored by EKU's Center for Appalachian Studies.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 4:30 p.m., enjoy discussions by three scholars who have collaborated with Special Collections & Archives in the creation of their research.  Library team member, Daniel Weddington, will present exclusive Civil War newspapers; Eastern Alumnus, Neil Kasiak, will share his fascinating work with the historic French Tipton papers; and EKU faculty member, Michele Gore, will discuss her exploration of the Anna Kadlec papers in the field of social work.  Presentations will be followed by a special reception.

Both events will take place in Library Discovery Classroom 204D.  To RSVP, please contact Krista.Rhodus@eku.edu or call (859) 622-1072.
